Lee Braaten

Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce

Lee Baaten, FCPA, FCA, is a Partner and City Leader with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) in Saskatoon.

With over 25 years in public practice, Lee graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Saskatchewan in 1984. Lee obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1986 and his Fellow Chartered Accountant designation in 2009. Lee has spent his career working with private companies and public entities providing assurance and related services to a variety of management, ownership and governance structures across many industries. He has worked with companies that have experienced mergers and aquisitions, divestitures, succession planning and transition, emerging business opportunities and financial challenges and difficulties. In addition, Lee has been part of the leadership of PwC managing the execution of strategic change and business transformation for the Saskatoon practice.

Lee has volunteered his time with many boards and organizations including Past Chair of the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Saskatchewan, Past Chair of the Board of Directors of Saskatoon Public Schools Foundation, Past Director of the Board of the Directors of the Saskatoon Club, and Past Member of the Senate of the University of Saskatchewan. Lee has also been a sessional lecturer in Introductory Auditing and Assurance in the undergraduate program at the University of Saskatchewan’s Edwards School of Business.

Lee is presently serving as Tresurer to the Board of Directors of Saskatoon Community Services Village and The United Way of Saskatoon and Area. Lee is also enrolled in the Directors Education Program jointly presented by the Institute of Corporate Directors and the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Business Management.
