Clint Weiland

City of Saskatoon

A life-long resident of Saskatoon and area, Clint received a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in 1995 and a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1998, both from the University of Saskatchewan. With over 20 years of legal experience in both private practice and as in-house counsel, he has focused on providing strategic legal advice in areas of law including construction and large expansion projects, securities and corporate governance, aviation, real property and leases, occupational health and safety, and litigation.

Clint was engaged in providing legal support in the merger of PotashCorp and Agrium in 2018 to form Nutrien. He has served in various roles as in-house legal counsel with Nutrien for over 19 years. In his current role, Clint provides strategic legal support to Nutrien’s Potash Business Unit and is a member of its leadership team.

In addition to pension board experience, Clint has volunteered with the Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Saskatoon from 2007 to2011 and Big Brothers Big Sisters Canada from 2016 to 2020. He also previously served as a member of Council for the Saskatchewan Branch of the Canadian Bar Association. Clint has completed the ICD-Rotman Directors Education Program.
