Saskatoon, SK: The Saskatoon Airport Authority (SAA) is marking a new chapter of leadership with key appointments to its Board of Directors announced today. Kaylynn Schroeder has been named Chair of the Board, with Lee Braaten stepping into the role of Vice-Chair. The SAA also announced the nomination of Rish Malhotra as its newest Board member.
“We extend our sincere gratitude to Susan Milburn for her exceptional leadership as Board Chair over the past two years and for her dedicated service on the SAA Board for the past 8 years,” said Stephen Maybury, President and CEO of YXE Saskatoon Airport. “Kaylynn and Lee’s deep understanding of our organization ensures a smooth transition as we continue advancing our vision to deliver Canada’s most valued airport experience.”
The Board also announced the retirement of long-serving member Bert Munro, who was nominated by the Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce and served on the Board for 9 years.
“Bert’s insights and commitment have been invaluable to our work,” said outgoing Board Chair Susan Milburn. “We thank him for his contributions and wish him every success in his future endeavors.”
At the SAA’s Annual Public Meeting today, the organization confirmed Rish Malhotra’s nomination to the Board, filling the seat vacated by Bert Munro. Malhotra, nominated by the Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce, brings over 20 years of global leadership experience across engineering, finance, and technology sectors.

His board experience extends to Crown corporations and not-for-profit organizations. In recognition of his contributions to business, he was awarded The Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Rish enjoys exploring the world with his wife Ritu, and daughters Riah and Reva, blending a love for travel with a deep curiosity for diverse cultures.
