Canadian Country Music Week and the CCMA Awards are fast approaching! From September 16–20, Saskatoon will be welcoming thousands of visitors for five days of events, music and all things country.
Discover Saskatoon has launched Saskatoon Goes Country, a new citywide program aimed at getting local businesses involved in the excitement surrounding CCMA Week.
I wanted to pass the opportunity along to our airport tenants and partners in case you would like to participate. There is absolutely no requirement to join, but it could be a fun way to welcome visitors as they arrive in Saskatoon and be part of what is happening across the city.
Participation is free and can be as simple or creative as you would like. Depending on your business, you could feature a themed menu item, run a promotion, decorate your space, play some country music, or find another way to join in. Participating businesses will also receive a digital marketing toolkit, a Saskatoon Goes Country bandana and a spot on the citywide map being used to help visitors find participating businesses.
Of course, we are still an airport, so while we want you to have some fun with it, any decorations, signage, promotions or other activities within the terminal will still need to follow our regular airport requirements (examples: Official Languages Act, Safety and Security)
I have attached the information package from Discover Saskatoon, which includes more information and the registration link. They will accept late registrations from our airport tenants and partners until next Friday, so there is still time to get involved.
